Objectives
- Understand the properties of clay.
- Continue to experiment with clay techniques and practice scoring, slipping and modeling.

Focusing Task (5 min)
- What’s-up Warm-up: Tell me about the hardest part of the snowstorm for you.
Guided Practice (10 min)
- Teacher will review the objectives for the project.
- Teacher will review the clean up procedure.
- Teacher will review scoring and slipping.
Learning Activity (25 min)
- Students will get supplies.
- Teacher will continue demonstrating some basic sculpting techniques.
- Students will follow along, experiment and practice sculpting a face.
- Students will sculpt the nose, mouth and eyebrows.
Closure (3 min)
- Students will finish the warm up and put their note in the box when they leave.

Guided Practice (5 min)
- Teacher will review the objectives for the project.
- Students will have to show and “pitch” their idea to the teacher before they begin working on their toy.
Learning Activity (30 min)
- Students will get supplies.
- Students will experiment and begin sculpting their character’s head and body.
Closure (3 min)
- Students will do a quick gallery walk to see the various sculptures.
