- How can an artist use the ideas from others in order to create something new?
Focusing Task (5 min)
- Get sketchbook set up the brainstorming page.
Guided Practice (5 min)
- Teacher will explain the project.
- Design 3 potential toys
- The full body should be shown
- Add as much detail as possible
- Cannot copy something that already exists, must design something NEW
- Toy should “do” something that would be fun for kids to play with.
- Moving arms and legs are not enough
Learning Activity (30 min)
- Students will brainstorm ideas for their toy design.
Closure (3 min)
- Share one idea with partner.
