History of Photography Jeopardy
Today you and a partner will be creating questions and answers in the Jeopardy game format relating to the history of photography.
Categories:
The categories that you must write questions for are:
- Photographic Processes – this category deals with questions about the various methods of creating photographs throughout history (ex. daguerreotype)
- Bonus: Try to figure out what the most common ones were
- Pioneers in Photography – this category deals with questions about the various inventors and photographers that experimented with photography throughout history (ex. Joseph Niepce)
- Bonus: Try to figure out who the most influential are
- Types of Early Cameras – this category deals with questions about the types of cameras that were invented and used before we began using our phones for most of our photography (ex. camera obscura)
- Bonus: Try to figure out which were the most innovative
- Timeline of Photography – this category deals with questions about the major events that shaped the medium of photography (ex. first color photograph)
- Bonus: Try to figure out which were the biggest successes
- The Masters of Photography – this category deals with questions about the various photographers that made this medium as popular as it is today and why they were so influential (ex. Ansel Adams)
- Bonus: Try to figure out who the most well-known ones are

You must write 5 questions for each category and provide the answer.

Format:
You must type this out and print a copy for the substitute before you leave class with as much as you were able to complete. Make sure both your name and your partner’s name are on the paper.
